If you have duplicate client records for one client, you must complete all the steps below. 


New patient records are created when a patient books online and the DOB and email combination doesn't match the existing record. 


The only page that will not merge is the 'Information' tab, make sure you have all the patient information you need to keep on the 'correct' patient record below.



Step 1. Search for the patient records you wish to merge, using the filters as below, then 




Step 2. Select the checkboxes next to the patient records you wish to merge -> select the Merge Patients button. 





Step 3. Ensure you have selected the correct record to be the new primary record. 


The only page that will not merge is the 'Information' tab, make sure you have all the patient information you need to keep on the 'correct' patient record below.


Step 4. Select the Merge Patients button again once you have acknowledged the below warning. 


Merging patients is a permanent action and cannot be undone. Please make sure you have selected the correct patients to merge. Once a merge has commenced it cannot be stopped. You are responsible for ensuring the correct patients are selected. There is no validation these are the same patients.




Step 5. Select OK if these are the records you wish to merge. 


SimpleClinic will now start copying records and files across to the primary patient record. The other patient records will now be archived. Depending on the amount of records and information, this could take up to a few mins, you will receive the below email once the files are merged.
